Erin Sullivan

Executive Director of the Friends of the British Council USA

Erin Sullivan, Executive Director of Friends of the British Council USA (FOBC), leverages 25+ years in development, strategy, marketing, and crisis management across multilateral agencies, nonprofits, and corporations. With a background in venture capital and consulting for tourism, manufacturing, and food sectors, she fosters global partnerships for mutual understanding and trust.

Jonathan Stewart

Director of the British Council in Northern Ireland

Jonathan Stewart is the Director of the British Council in Northern Ireland with responsibility for a team of 24 staff and all operations in Northern Ireland across Education, Arts and political and stakeholder relations. Jonathan has over 23 years’ experience working in a variety of roles in the British Council in Northern Ireland. He has also worked overseas teaching English in the Czech Republic and in the British Council’s teaching centres in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. 

 

Rachael Bishop

US Country Director

Rachael has spent her career working for the UK Government. Recently, she has primarily focused on developing policies to respond to new technologies, leading a team to develop aspects of the UK’s Online Safety Bill. Earlier in her career, Rachael represented the UK in EU Council negotiations on cyber security, telecoms and intellectual property. As US Country Director, Rachael currently leads the Department for Business and Trade’s trade promotion teams in the British Embassy and across the US.
