Greater Together LA (May 19–22) delivered a dynamic week of cultural programming in Los Angeles, showcasing the breadth of UK–U.S. collaboration across key sectors. At the centre of the programme was the Study UK Pop-up Experience, an immersive, full-day exhibition where U.S. students, parents, and counsellors could explore UK higher education opportunities without leaving the city.
Held at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles on 22 May, the Study UK Pop-up was designed as an interactive experience. More than 16 UK universities and partners participated, spanning four key subject areas: Creative Industries, Sports, Health, and Engineering and Technology, alongside cutting-edge British entrepreneurship and design.
The week built on growing U.S. interest in international education, with the Study UK Pop-up bringing that momentum to life through hands-on exhibits, workshops, and breakout sessions. Through interactive displays and alumni stories, visitors explored what studying in the UK can truly offer.
Our dedicated space for UK universities brought their work to life for prospective students and their families. Through interactive, thoughtfully designed displays, visitors explored the latest research, innovative ideas, and world-class teaching taking place across UK institutions.
It offered a unique opportunity to experience the breadth and quality of the UK’s academic offer up close - helping students imagine their future, see where they could thrive, and envision how they might contribute to a vibrant academic community.
Running alongside the exhibition, the GREAT Sessions offered a more intimate immersive experience. Throughout the day, UK universities hosted workshops, interactive labs, and lectures for prospective students.
Some sessions focused on the practical side of studying in the UK, including application guidance and insights from successful UK alumni based in Los Angeles. Others brought together academics and industry leaders, giving audiences the chance to explore emerging trends and discover where different fields are heading.
