The Open Doors programme was supported by a grant from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the US Department of State.

The British Council invited Dr Rajika Bhandari, Deputy Vice President, Research and Evaluation from the Institute of International Education to deliver a free webinar on the latest data from Open Doors. Dr Bhandari shared highlights from the latest Open Doors 2012 data on international educational exchange. The webinar examined in-bound and outbound educational mobility for the US, as well as other trends between the US and the UK.

The Open Doors reports are a comprehensive information resource on:

  • International students and scholars studying or teaching at higher education institutions in the United States
  • US students studying abroad for academic credit at their home colleges or universities

This webinar is suitable for UK higher education professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding of the US market, have active study abroad programmes in the US and who have an interest in how the US conducts international student recruitment.
