This March the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden presents 'Meet the Artist' with Jeremy Deller. The 'Meet the Artist' series invites distinguished contemporary artists to discuss their work with the local community. Jeremy Deller is known for his elaborate and socially provocative works involving the participation of numerous people. He will discuss his unique approach using diverse mediums of art, reflections on his journey as an artist, as well as his 14-minute moving-image work 'English Magic' (2012), now on view at the Hirshhorn through August 31st, 2014.

This event is co-sponsored by the British Council and American University’s Studio Art Program. The program is free, and is first-come, first-served.
