Spirit of '45, directed by Ken Loach, is the UK's contribution to a larger series of international film screenings sponsored by the National Gallery of Art (NGA) and American University's (AU) School of Communication.

The screening is free and open to the public, and it will be held at the Malsi Doyle and Michael Forman Theater in AU's McKinley building. There will be a reception at 6:30 pm (food and non-alcoholic drinks), followed by the screening at 7 pm.

In addition to the screening of Spirit of '45, the NGA is also presenting three special events that feature visual materials from archival collections in the UK. All three events will be held in the Lecture Hall of the NGA's West Building, located on the National Mall.
