Are your performances and events accessible—even to people with invisible disabilities?

Relaxed performances are designed to make theater spaces more comfortable to audience members with autism, sensory sensitivities, learning disabilities, Tourette's syndrome, people who experience anxiety, or people who are not comfortable with the conventions of a traditional theater setting.

Join us for an overview of relaxed performance methodology to learn how embracing a laidback attitude to audience noise and movement coupled with minor production changes can support all audiences in experiencing the arts without barriers.

Two sessions are available on Jan 6: 10:00am-11:30am and 1:00pm-2:30pm.

To register: Email Wynsor.Taylor@BritishCouncil.org with “Relaxed Performances” in the subject line or register using this link. Please include your name, organization, job title, session time preference and any accessibility requirements in your email.

The space is wheelchair accessible. The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and registration is required.

Introduction to Relaxed Performances is presented as part of the Public Theater’s Under the Radar Festival in partnership with the British Council.
