Inspired by the tragic mass killing that took place in Norway in 2011, The Events challenges its audience with questions of tolerance and understanding in the midst of coping with the aftermath of such a traumatic event.

Winner of the 2013 Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award, The Events is a co-production of Actors Touring Company (London), Brageteatret (Drammen), Schauspielhaus (Vienna) and the Young Vic Theatre (London).

The British Council proudly supports a series of public discussions surrounding the production.

Read the New York Times announcement to learn more about what inspired this fictional play and the creativity behind the production.

The Events is showing now through June 28 at the International Fesitval of Arts and Ideas in New Haven, Connecticut.
