Join the British Council, the Newseum and the United States Institute of Peace for a creative and innovative event looking at the intersection of art, conflict, politics and the press. As part of a larger, closed conference called Culture & Conflict, this public event will feature an artist's rendering of the historical presidential press briefing. In this live performance known as Closed Circuit, artist and creator Rod Dickinson will use two actors, Paul Morella and Albert Welling as presidential figures to replicate a crisis press briefing. The script will focus on typical ways governments handle crises, and the goal of the performance is to help the audience understand conflicts at a deeper level through visual and performing art.

See Rod Dickinson's website for more information on the live performance.

This event is free and open to the public.
